Computer Skills Development

Vocamotive™ outlines and implements a program of computer instruction for vocational counseling and rehabilitation clients to develop marketable skills using contemporary software. Vocamotive clients can develop keyboard proficiency as well as, advanced capabilities with

Program requirements include demonstration of proficiency via creation of job search appropriate documents, establishment of email accounts and utilization of Internet job search tools.

Job Seeking Skills Training

Vocamotive™ clients are introduced to professional job seeking techniques and strategies. These include a detailed review of all foundation materials necessary to job search including application, preparing of references, interview preparation including videotaped mock interview, training in telephone cold call technique and labor market exploration. Our services are comparable to the best job seeking support services provided by nationally known outplacement firms.

Employment Search Coordination

Vocamotive™ clients are assisted in implementing a comprehensive, professional level job search. Clients are guided through the implementation of a high level of prospective employer contact via effective identification of job targets, labor market assessment and employer contact in a variety of forms including personal visit. All job search activity is thoroughly documented. We provide office space, telephones, one-on-one assistance and other support services as needed to make job search a full-time activity.

Job Development

Vocamotive™ professional staff are instrumental in developing relationships with prospective employers across many industries in order to evaluate labor market conditions, evaluate job requirements and to create interview opportunities where the employer/client match is appropriate. This also allows for meaningful evaluation of client interview performance.

Internships

Vocamotive™ has developed and maintained relationships with various segments of the employment community to create on-the-job training or internship programs which facilitate the development of meaningful skills and experience for the rehabilitation client so that they may gain "on the street" experience to improve short-term employment potential and reduce wage loss exposures.

Utilizing such strategies, we have consistently been able to produce high-quality placements at good wage levels.
